Cookstown

The Cookstown business was founded in 1937 in Cookstown, County Tyrone in Northern Ireland and was acquired by Grampian Country Food Group at the end of 2001.  The factory currently employs over 550 people and is one of the largest employers in the Mid Ulster area.

The Cookstown business is a major supporter of Northern Irish agriculture and processes over half of all the provinces available pigs.
 
Cookstown is Northern Ireland's best loved sausage and bacon brand. The "Cookstown Sizzle" is the brand’s best known strap line and has been used since 1968 when a young George Best was the brand’s spokesman. Over the last 2 years we have re-launched the Cookstown brand with striking new pack colours and graphics that deliver a bright on shelf presence.
