Since its establishment in 1986 the Pork Business Unit has expanded from being simply a fresh pork supplier into the further processed market. The processing locations located throughout the UK have established themselves as producers of quality pork products.
The pork product range has grown significantly to include:
- Fresh pork
- Bacon
- Sausages
- Cooked hams
- Added value pork products
- and even haggis
In addition to the processing business Grampian Country Pork has a substantial pig herd in the north east of Scotland. The key to the excellent quality of the end product is a commitment to natural breeding and rearing methods on both company and contract farms. Exacting standards laid down in the Grampian Pig Farm Policy and Procedure Manual ensure that sound welfare and animal husbandry practices are followed throughout all farms.
